Are you looking for kendo instructions? Are you looking for kendo tips? The Kendo-Guide.Com (www.kendo-guide.com) UA-cam Channel provides you with kendo training videos for beginners, and tips for the intermediate/advanced to improve our kendo skills.
Kendo is known as Japanese fencing or Japanese samurai swordsmanship, but it is yet very unknown to many people. You will be introduced to kendo easily yet very traditionally. Already started kendo? I can help you so you can learn kendo more easily and quickly.
I have been instructing kendo to adults since 1993 when I went to New Zealand, where I lived for 6 years. For 2 years, I instructed in Guatemala. Now in the US, I have been instructing the locals since 2006. I know the problems adult kendo practitioners encounter and the solutions that they need.
I am here to help people who love kendo. For more information and to get all the kendo updates please go to www.Kendo-Guide.Com.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Man 12 years ago, I was searching up anime titties and gaming tutorials on youtube. Should have searched this gem instead.
Excellent!! Thank you👍👍!!
Awesome
Would I be wrong to interpret getting back on your feet to be less about pushing your body upwards with your right leg and more pushing yourself back onto your left foot?
I practice kendo 1995. Which I am practicing again after 30 years, which I started again which my left foot keeps going to outside. The issue is that 2012 to 2016. i broke my foot and have aluminum pieces in my right leg. It doesn’t hurt,, but should I keep practicing or end it. I love kendo and my old friends. My friends are now 40 and 50 and an I am the old guy. Should I continue or stop??? Frank 😢
Thanks for leaving a message, @Californiansurfer! 😄If your left foot keeps opening to the left because of the injury, then let it be. That is your "natural" stance. I snapped the left Achilles tendon, tore the left knee MCL and ACL, and had operations on the right and left shoulders. My back has been bad since when I was 14. My left wrist has been bad since when I was 12. Now at the age of 50, I am suffering from pain in my right elbow and left hip joint. I have no plan to quit kendo. I think every single person should do their own kendo. If you cannot have your left foot straight, that is fine. Do what you can do. We don't need to do kendo like younger people. I believe older people can still become stronger and have fun in kendo. If you need help, let me know. My father started kendo at the age of 55. He became 5-dan. www.kendo-guide.com/unknown_kendoist.html 😊👍
STUDENTS MUST ADAPT TO THE MASTER. never the other way around. WOKENESS = WEAKNESS
Exactly, @nowhere474! As an instructor, my opinion to every student is to "do your best at their current level and never be lazy".
Excellent advice! Thank you sensei!!!
My pleasure!
先把力矩的核心先拉下來、再開始轉動 而不是一開始就把核心丟出去,你手都伸直了要怎麼轉?
Excellent advice sensei, Regards from Chile!
Yes!!! your stretches like when you said don’t lift up your hip is so yoga. Well done this is wonderful to watch. Thank you for posting.
Congrats sensei! Hello from Malaysia!
👍👍!!
I am very proud to say I am the first blind kendo practitioner in Chile. I started back in january this year. It's an honour. We're a growing dojo, and I have found knowledge, wisdom, and family. We're now working with sensei, shihan, and the federation to adapt combat and lessons, so not only would I be able to fight, but also share my world with the rest. It's been wonderful. Hugs, oss!
Thank you for sharing your amazing story with us. Your determination and perseverance are truly admirable. Keep up the good work! If I can do things for your kendo improvement, let me know!
Thank you Sensei!
Thank you for your comment, @tartarart4922!😀Always appreciate it!
Commenting years after the fact, but this type of foot positioning before striking is SO important. It literally changed my Kendo overnight. That little step forward on the left makes all the difference. Striking from Chudan is, and always will be, an important drill, but it's so important to understand that you CAN move your left foot closer to your right before launching and striking.
Thank you Sensei for your time and wonderful detailed lessons!
Since link doesn't work on tapping in yt, maybe qr code works better?
Great idea! Thanks! But many watch shorts on their smart phone, right?
Thank you Sensei👍👍!!
Congratulations! Start the 10-year countdown.
Thank you, @mad_borden!😀 Yeah. 10 years... Sure, I will be qualified... I will make sure every single strike counts to get stronger!
Thank you!
Congratulations on the 7th Dan Promotion! A real milestone to achieve!
Thank you, @iamyodaok!😀It is indeed a milestone for my kendo. I have learned a lot from challenging 7-dan. That was a real learning experience.
Congratulations, sensei!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you, @dimbulajen!!!😀
Congratulations!
Thank you, @noelplaugherwriter2134!😀

Great video🔥!! Thank you for your dedication and sharing of knowledge 💯!! Congratulations on your graduation👏👏👏!!
Thank you, @luisabreu4396!😀 It is maybe a graduation from one journey and also the beginning of another journey. I need a car 🚗 to keep going on this journey!! 😂
Thank you for this amazing video, I’ve really wanted to get into kendo for a while. Your video confirmed my passion to start practicing. I had one question, I am very aware that my shoulders are not fully relaxed and can feel the tension build up. What would you recommend besides stretching to start to ease off of the trapezius muscles and have correct form?
Thank you for your kind words! It means a lot to hear that my video has inspired you to pursue kendo. If you focus on striking, you will get tense. So concentrate on breathing. The striking movement is easy. You lift the sword up and bring it down. Do it in front of a mirror. Observe your form. Good luck!

About 7 to 8 seconds delay on movement
👍
I managed to broadcast 30 min late! Here it is:ua-cam.com/users/livebx3bQxvACKA?feature=share
The sounds is ok
Very chunky
💯👍👍!!
Good video sensei. Koryu iaido such as shinden ryu, jikiden ect which are practiced under the ajkf, do carry on the traditional samurai arts passed on by lineage. This is the only aspect of the samurai which continue exist. As modern kendo has become a sport. And classical kenjutsu from the times of the bakamatsu period, are hard to come by outside japan.
Thank you 🤔👍👍!!
Thank you, Sensei!
🗡️ 😎
You videos have helped me a lot, I train by myself a lot, thank you for your instructions!
Whip It 👍 Advice!☯️

I’m just getting started in Kendo and the home workout/practice videos have been very helpful. I’m a regular at my gym for weightlifting but these exercises help me improve my form. Thank you!
What would Musashi say about this
Hello, i'm nidan and i have the chance to learn kendo with a traditional japanese sensei who is 7th dan. What you say in this video is something i've always heared from my sensei. I'm living in Europe and my dojo is a bit, let's say "apart" others 'cause sensei is not interested to teach us about shiai and competition but by self development by practicing kendo. When i practice with others dojo or even some "shiai experts" in ji-geiko, even if i'm way lower than my opponents i can feel my kamae and maai strong. So thanks a lot for this video and i really hope a lot of kenshi will see it and learn the best from it. cheers
nice one!
